Christian und Aleks

During their travels throughout Europe they became fixated on the passion of fire artistry. Two clowns in Portugal taught them their first movements. Later on, mostly in Australia different artists tutored them and finally Aleks and Chris developed their own style, and as a result of that Flamba Saltatio was born.

Due to the liaison between the artists, their style is based on a special communication. Out of this a fascinating fire performance develops. Both are ardent fire artists and design their shows by themselves.

Solid and direct body control is the basis for a fire performance with an airy and playful appearance that allows space for improvisation.

In my performance I focus on stage presence, expression and step sequences.
The rapid but transient fascination of the fire is framed with elements from dance, theater and play, and is interwoven into an agile and stirring performance…

The dramaturgy of the show is built on the interaction between Christian and me.

The staffs are my passion in the fire artistry. A fast and accurate play builds the basis for a performance full of dynamic and high speed with intermittent playful sequences.

The fire staffs rotate effortlessly and seem to be connected with the body through an invisible strap.
